Where is Curacao?

Curacao is a small island in the Caribbean, just off the coast of Venezuela. It is part of the ABC islands (Aruba, Curacao, Bonaire)

What's the vision?

Curaçao is located in the Mesoamerica Region, Caribbean field. Until August 2015, there was no Church of the Nazarene in Curaçao. The Brash family, from the Crossroads congregation, deployed as Genesis Missionaries during the summer of 2015. During the summer, the Brash family met with and helped the Petrus family, from Curaçao begin a brand new work of the Church of the Nazarene in Curaçao. A church was registered and a small congregation began meeting in August 2015. Crossroads is committed to a partnership with the new congregation in Curaçao to help that congregation to minister to the people of Curaçao. Through our partnership with the new Nazarene congregation, we will partner with other existing organizations on the Island to increase awareness about the Church of the Nazarene. Our vision is that Curaçao will know Church of the Nazarene as God's hands and feet as we work in communities to show God's love and share the powerful message of salvation in Jesus Christ.

The Brash family

Our family returned to Baltimore in August 2015 after completing the first phase of our assignment. During our deployment, a new church was registered with with the government and a new congregtion began meeting in the home of Jonathan Petrus. We are still active participants in God's mission in Curaçao by helping to facilitate partnerships between the new congregation and other organizations on the island with whom we share common beliefs. By working with existing organizations the people of Curaçao will become familiar Church of the Nazarene.

Pray with us that God will use our family to become the hands and feet of Christ in Curaçao.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. (Matt 28:19-20)
