From the earliest time I can remember, I was “involved” with church: I played on the hand-bell choir, was President of our Youth Fellowship and later served as a deacon. And while I knew about Jesus, I can’t honestly say I knew Him. That is, until 9-11-2001.   The next day I called our church to see if we were having a service, which we were not. Later that night, while on my way to the store, I drove by a church called House on the Rock. There wasn’t one empty parking space in the lot. I soon found myself walking through their doors. It was there that I was introduced to Jesus in a real and personal way. I would like to say I was immediately changed…but I was not. I had asked Jesus into my life but didn’t understand what it meant to give my life to Him.    Thankfully, that has changed -- and continues to change each day as I grow and mature in Him. I can honestly say that I am a new creation. You see, I’m no longer just a church girl…I’m now a Jesus girl!

I knew from a very early age about salvation though Christ’s amazing love and grace.  The Lord has blessed me with a God-fearing wife and provided grace, mercy and wisdom to live with the blessings of a large family.  While far from perfect and prone to stumbling and bumbling, I always knew God loved me and I don’t remember a time where I doubted who God was. Throughout my Christian walk and many denominations (Lutheran, Episcopal, Baptist, Non-Denominational and now Nazarene), I have witnessed the Holy Spirit operate in mighty ways and sometimes even using me.  It is a humbling experience to know that the God of the universe uses someone like me to minister in His kingdom.  I believe my primary responsibility is to do my best to pass that same love and grace on to my children.  I am so thankful that the Lord accepts me as I am, but will never leave me as I am.
