Crossroads Jail Ministry
Come join the Crossroads Jail Ministry s we share the Good News of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with the inmates of the Howard County Detention Center (HCDC) in Jessup, MD.
For nearly a decade, the Crossroads team has been partnering with the HCDC Christian Jail Ministry (CJM), a local non-profit serving the jail since the 1980's, and nearly 40 other churches in the area.
Our mission is to evangelize, make disciples and love those we encounter. We rotate on a bi-monthly basis to hold service in the jail’s chapel on Sunday afternoons. The team provides worship in song, shares testimonies and brings the Word of God to the inmates. We coordinate our work with CJM Chaplain, Gerard Washington, who also attends each service. Our team currently serves the jail’s male population but female teams are a possibility.
