CKIDS FAMILY BREAKFAST & FAMILY SUNDAY
Sunday, May 31 at 10:15am

May 31 is the fifth Sunday in May, which means that we have a Family Sunday! Elementary students (K-5th) will join the adults in our worship service. Preschool and nursery classes will be open and available as normal.

We change the service flow to make it an engaging and meaningful experience for the kids. We will have a worship song that the kids know and recognize and there will be a game for them to play during the sermon (with prizes)! We will also feature a video made by our very own kids and staff!

In between services, Crossroads Kids families are invited to a Family Sunday Breakfast in the Kids’ Sanctuary. This is a fun way to meet other parents and families of children 0-5th grade! Bagels and cream cheese are provided; families, please sign up here bring something to share.

SUMMER WITH CKIDS
Sundays July 5 - August 30

Kids’ programming will continue at both the 9am and 11am services through the months of July and August with slight adjustments:

Nursery, Toddlers, and Pre-K:
Drop off to their classrooms at the beginning of service.

Elementary:
Get your check-in tag first! Join the beginning of the service with their families, then will dismiss to their leaders after the worship music.

Can you help on our summer team?
Training will be provided and dates are flexible. It’s a great way to get to see if kids’ ministry is a good fit for you and helps us keep our classrooms open! Let us know by filling out the interest form and a staff member will reach out to you with more details.

We value each child and family that comes to our church! Crossroads Kids is here to help kids KNOW Jesus and GROW in relationship with Him and others, so that they can SHOW their faith to the world around them. Our hope is that our kids will develop an insatiable desire to be a part of God’s purpose for their lives and His Church.

We recognize that no one has more influence over your child than you. Because of this, we believe that what happens at home is most important. Church and home, individually, ensures a child has a better future. However, when the two work together with the same mission, the impact is greater.

We are committed to partnering with your family by providing tools to support your family spiritually. Please browse around the features here and take advantage of the resources available as we partner together to give our kids the best view of God, His Church, and His world.

Check-In/Check-Out Procedures
In order to provide the safest environment for your children while in our care, we follow a strict check-in process. Our Check-In Center is located upstairs outside of our Crossroads Kids Sanctuary. Our friendly Welcome Team will collect your information. You will receive a security label, one to be placed on your child(ren) and one for you to present upon pick-up. No child will be released without the security label. Finally, you will be given a few resources and directed to the appropriate classroom. Each classroom opens 15 minutes prior to the start of our 9am service (8:45am) and our 11am service (10:45am).

Safety Matters: Background Checks
All Crossroads Kids volunteers are carefully trained and background-checked before serving in your children’s classrooms. We also adhere to the “2 With You” rule, which means that at least two adults, two staff members, or a combination of two (adult and youth helper) shall be with any child(ren) at all activities and in classrooms or other enclosed areas.

Wellness

Children who have shown signs of fever, vomiting, or other contagious illnesses should be symptom-free and fever-free (without medications) for 24 hours before coming to Crossroads Kids.

"Let the children come to me; do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God."
Mark 10:14

At Crossroads, we want all families and children to feel a sense of belonging. Our CKids Belong ministry’s focus is to ensure that the appropriate materials, supports, and training are in place for children of all abilities. We believe every child is created in God's image and belongs in our community, and we look forward to serving your family. For more information or to join our team as a volunteer, please contact Judi Kramer.

The littlest of Crossroads Kids are important to us!  They have an intrinsic value simply because they were created by God.  How do we show them they are valued?  By caring for them with excellence.

In First Look, we provide an environment where little ones are given a "first look" at 3 basic Biblical truths: God loves me; God made me, and Jesus wants to be my best friend forever.  We believe in an active, hands-on approach to learning.  You can plan on a lot of jumping, singing, dancing, and laughter in every experience.

Check in your child(ren) up to 15 minutes before the start of service in their correct classroom. We have full programming for the nursery, 2’s class, 3’s class, and PreK.

Crossroads Kids, also known as CKids, is an exciting and relevant environment designed especially for elementary-aged children (K- 5th grade). We believe that worship should be jammin’ loud, the Bible should never be boring, and great leaders show up and always care. By the time each kid heads off to middle school, we want to make sure these 3 basic truths stick:  I need to make the WISE choiceI can TRUST GOD no matter what, and I should treat OTHERS the way I want to be treated. Our core verse is found in Luke 2:52: “And Jesus grew in wisdom, and stature and favor with God and man.”

Large Group Time (located upstairs in the CKids Sanctuary) is where all K-5th graders gather to start. There are hilarious games to engage kids, incredible music to excite kids, and relevant storytellers and media to introduce the “Bottom Line” and Bible story, followed by grade-appropriate Small Groups in designated classrooms.

Small Group Time is all about relationships: relationships with other kids, leaders, and most importantly, Jesus. During small-group time, kids take the Bottom Line and learn how it applies to their daily lives. They learn how to study the Bible and make it personal and real to them through discussions and various activities. We believe a consistent environment is best for children of all ages, so we encourage your children to attend the same service each week. They will make friends and have the same small group leaders.

Whether you attend the 9am or 11am service, you may check in your kids up to 15 minutes before the start of servicew. We have full programming for K-5th. You will drop your child(ren) off in the kids sanctuary and pick them up in the location of their small groups.

Volunteer with Crossroads Kids!

Imagine being part of a child’s very first memories of church! You’re shaping the foundation of their faith, showing them what God is like through your words, actions, and presence. Every craft, every Bible story, every smile is an opportunity to plant seeds that could grow into a lifelong relationship with Jesus.

If you’ve ever felt a nudge to join our Crossroads Kids “VIP” team, now is a great time to be part of our team! Our greatest need is older teen & adult volunteers who can serve two Sundays each month at either the 9am or 11am service. Substitutes are also needed!

Crossroads Kids classes cover ages birth through 5th grade, and you will be able to select an opening in your preferred age group. Training is provided, and you will have a co-teacher in each classroom.
